The Body Shop Matcha Tea + Tea Tree Face Masks

Do you really need another face mask?

This question is personally something I have never asked myself, as being a full blown beauty addict means there is always a new product I need in my life. However, if the thought has crossed your mind I am going to give you three reasons why you need to check out these skincare beauties.

  1. Effective quality ingredients
  2. Both are 100% vegan and cruelty free
  3. They’re from The Body Shop

I could stop there as these are pretty fab reasons but I’m going to treat you lovelies to some photos and some more product details that are going to get you purchasing these online before you can say the words face mask.

I was kindly invited to The Body Shop in my beautiful city of Liverpool to see these new masks in action and find out more about their other amazing skincare ranges.

I started with a quick perusal around the store with a glass of bubbly (of course) to check out their latest must-have products.

Real rose petals inside your toner anyone?!

Chinese ginseng + rice toner and British rose toner

The Body Shop Banana haircare

After a quick cheers to my absolute favourite shampoo and conditioner from the banana range it was onto the demonstrations.

Tea Tree Overnight mask

I am super excited about this mask. Tea tree oil is perfect for my oily spot-prone skin but I usually avoid it as I don’t want to walk round smelling like a pharmacy but the scent of this mask is lovely. A much more subtle almost sweet scent of tea tree that is a delight to apply and feels really refreshing on the skin.

However, the thing that excites me most about this mask is that it is for use during the night. Nearly all overnight masks I come across are for dehydrated and dry skin, so when I saw that The Body Shop were representing us oil slick gals I jumped with joy. Just a thin non-sticky layer will leave your skin looking healthier and mattified, with long-term use helping maintain clearer skin.

Japanese Matcha Mask

I’m obsessed with tea, all types and I love matcha so this mask was always going to be a win with me. Every single tea leaf inside each mask has been sourced straight from the foothills of Mount Fuji and if that doesn’t impress you, the fact you can tell that this is mask is indulgently creamy just from my photo should win you over!

This vegan mask formula deeply purifies and gently exfoliates your skin removing build-up of dirt and everyday impurities. Unlike the Tea Tree mask it does dry like a traditional clay mask but nowhere near as much, which is great as I can sometimes get too in the pamper zone and forget I’m wearing a mask resulting in that horrible tight feeling of dried clay.

My only negative? That I wish they made this as a whole body mask!!

Together, I think both of these masks will do wonders for anyone looking to deeply cleanse and nourish their skin and personally not that I need more of a reason, but I can’t wait to go to sleep just so I can use the Tea Tree mask.

So do you need another face mask?

I think we both know the answer to that!

The Body Shop have seriously upped their game lately and their skincare products are fantastic. The packaging is great too, the kind you want to put on display in your bathroom which seems like a silly reason to buy stuff but for me it’s a big factor haha. xx

They are both lovely but the tea tree one really appealed to me because of my oily skin and it feels so nice. They recently got bought by a different company so are no longer owned by Loreal, so even though they were always cruelty free I think it’s nice they will now be owned by a company that feels the same as they do as a brand. x

Me too and I liked it but because I didn’t know as much about skincare as I do now I think it was a little harsh for my skin but this mask was lovely. It felt so gentle but really refreshing and it will be nice to have a overnight mask suited to my skin! xx

I have the chinese ginseng and rice mask and it’s lovely. All the face masks from this range are fab and the fact they are vegan and cruelty free just makes them winners all round in my opinion! Definitely worth the money xx

It’s so nice that all The Body Shop products are cruelty free and so many are vegan friendly. Especially now Loreal no longer own them it’s great their parent company has the same views on animal testing as they do. I really want all of the face masks and the charcoal mask is another one that sounds perfect for my skin xx

Oh my goodness I need both of these masks! I’m a huge fan of the body shop tea tree toner so I’m sure I’ll love that mask! I’m going to a body shop blogger event on Wednesday so I’ll be keeping an eye out for both of these! Thankyou!

I’ve been wanting to try these since I first heard about them and after reading this I want them more!
Now that The Body Shop isn’t owned by animal testing L’Oreal, I think I’m going to have to pop in.

All the masks in The Body Shop are lovely, you can tell they’re really good quality. I was speaking to the manager at the event and I agreed it’s nice that although they were always cruelty free and had a lot of vegan products, the fact they are now owned by company that share the same views as them on animal testing is a really great thing. Definitely pop in! xx

I spent a good 15 minutes on my last Body Shop trip convincing myself I don’t need these two new beauties but I most certainly do. I just picked up their Chinese Rice toner to go with my mask and I love it, it’s so brightening. Your pictures are gorgeous as always, girl! Xxx

Hahahaha yeah I’m always exactly the same. I have loads of face masks but these two look so good. I have the Chinese rice mask which I love and I want to add the toner as I basically just need all of The Body Shop’s skincare. Thank you xxxx
