Do you really need another face mask?
This question is personally something I have never asked myself, as being a full blown beauty addict means there is always a new product I need in my life. However, if the thought has crossed your mind I am going to give you three reasons why you need to check out these skincare beauties.
- Effective quality ingredients
- Both are 100% vegan and cruelty free
- They’re from The Body Shop
I could stop there as these are pretty fab reasons but I’m going to treat you lovelies to some photos and some more product details that are going to get you purchasing these online before you can say the words face mask.
I was kindly invited to The Body Shop in my beautiful city of Liverpool to see these new masks in action and find out more about their other amazing skincare ranges.
I started with a quick perusal around the store with a glass of bubbly (of course) to check out their latest must-have products.
Real rose petals inside your toner anyone?!
After a quick cheers to my absolute favourite shampoo and conditioner from the banana range it was onto the demonstrations.
Tea Tree Overnight mask
I am super excited about this mask. Tea tree oil is perfect for my oily spot-prone skin but I usually avoid it as I don’t want to walk round smelling like a pharmacy but the scent of this mask is lovely. A much more subtle almost sweet scent of tea tree that is a delight to apply and feels really refreshing on the skin.
However, the thing that excites me most about this mask is that it is for use during the night. Nearly all overnight masks I come across are for dehydrated and dry skin, so when I saw that The Body Shop were representing us oil slick gals I jumped with joy. Just a thin non-sticky layer will leave your skin looking healthier and mattified, with long-term use helping maintain clearer skin.
Japanese Matcha Mask
I’m obsessed with tea, all types and I love matcha so this mask was always going to be a win with me. Every single tea leaf inside each mask has been sourced straight from the foothills of Mount Fuji and if that doesn’t impress you, the fact you can tell that this is mask is indulgently creamy just from my photo should win you over!
This vegan mask formula deeply purifies and gently exfoliates your skin removing build-up of dirt and everyday impurities. Unlike the Tea Tree mask it does dry like a traditional clay mask but nowhere near as much, which is great as I can sometimes get too in the pamper zone and forget I’m wearing a mask resulting in that horrible tight feeling of dried clay.
My only negative? That I wish they made this as a whole body mask!!
Together, I think both of these masks will do wonders for anyone looking to deeply cleanse and nourish their skin and personally not that I need more of a reason, but I can’t wait to go to sleep just so I can use the Tea Tree mask.
So do you need another face mask?
I think we both know the answer to that!
